Description:
The
single phase voltage regulators ITB, controlled by Ctr-1,
are auto-transformers with series coil in the source side (B
Type). They are equipped with on load tap changer that, in set
with the reactor and the equalizer winding, they makes possible 33
derivations and they adjusts the voltage of line in ±10%
with 16 raise positions, 16 lower positions and the neutral
position. The voltage between consecutive derivations is 0.625% of
the load side line voltage.
The regulators have a unit construction, in a sealed tank, with pressure relief device, oil sight gauge, superior connection for press filter, valve of drain, oil sampling device and stainless steel nameplate etched in low relief.
The line connections are made by porcelain bushings with terminals type fastener and a, external, polymeric surge ZnO by-pass arresters is supplied between the bushings "Source" and "Load".
The on load tap changer position is shown by display of the controller, inside the control box, that is capable to decode signal BCD of an absolute encoder, especially developed for this application, mounted in the inside of the regulator tank, whose cursor is solidary to the tap changer mechanism, while the signalling of neutral position is made by system electrically and mechanically independent.

Manual (only in Portuguese) is available with all details and
cares of transport, storage, installation, operation and
maintenance. It is too recommended the reading of Chemists
Products Security Information Sheet (FISPQ Only in Portuguese)
of the used isolating oil in the tension regulators that contain
important information on safe handling, associates risks, adequate
procedures of discarding, procedure steps in accidents case with
spill.
